Created in 2013 by the ANFP, it opens the Chilean football season with a single match at a neutral venue between the league champions and the Copa Chile winners. The first edition was won by Unión Española against Universidad de Chile, and Colo-Colo and Universidad Católica are the record winners. In 2026 the format was expanded to four clubs: the top two in the league and the two Copa Chile finalists.
