Campeonato Gaúcho: Played since 1919, it is the stage for the Gre-Nal, one of the most frequently played derbies in the world, between Grêmio and Internacional, who between them have won almost every title. The rare exceptions have gone down in history: in the early decades, clubs such as Brasil and Pelotas, both from the city of Pelotas, and Guarany of Bagé lifted the trophy, and in the modern era Juventude in 1998, Caxias in 2000 and Novo Hamburgo in 2017 broke the duo's grip.
